The drive
From Makariv to Irpin is about 35 km, forty-five minutes of driving. Measuring and installation are scheduled for a set time, and the distance does not make a check measure expensive: if the dimensions are still moving, driving out twice beats remaking a front.
New buildings: where the standard breaks
A bay window, a slope, an out-of-square corner and a wall that wanders by 2-3 cm along its length are everyday facts in new housing. A ready-made module either will not go in or leaves a gap that swallows everything. We cut the side panel to the angle that is actually there, not to the right angle from a catalogue.
The second typical case is an open-plan flat where the kitchen position is set by the services rather than by a wall. At the measuring visit we record where the waste pipe, the duct and the hob socket really are, and build the design around them rather than around a nice picture.
Ceilings in new buildings are often 2.7-3 m. That is a chance to take the wardrobe right up with a separate upper section, and at the same time a reason to deliver flat parts: an assembled carcass that tall does not fit in a lift.

Yes, that is the whole point of made-to-order furniture. We take the real angles at the measuring visit: if a wall is not at 90 degrees, the side panel and the worktop are made to the angle that exists.
