Made-to-order furniture in Boyarka

The drive and the visits

Boyarka is about 45 km from Makariv, roughly fifty minutes. Measuring is scheduled for a set time and the installation is planned to finish in a single day: covering that road twice suits neither you nor us.

A private house: what we allow for

In houses built across different decades, often by their owners, a right angle is the exception. So we do not take a dimension "along the wall" but record the angles and the deviations and build them into the drawing. Otherwise a wedge of a gap is left between the wardrobe and the wall, and nothing covers it neatly.

The second difference is the rooms a flat does not have: a boiler room, a pantry, a large kitchen-diner, an attic with a sloping ceiling. Each needs its own answer, and this is the case where made-to-order furniture costs less than ready-made, because nobody sells those sizes in a standard range.

Humidity in part of these houses is higher than in a flat, especially in a boiler room or an unheated veranda. There we recommend moisture-resistant board and edging on every side, the hidden ones included: it is through an unedged hidden side that board soaks up water and swells.
